Good design is innovative. It takes contemporary and future needs into account and thus creates a distinct competitive lead. But is there a method for generating innovative and promising approaches within a short time?

Design & Innovation Workshop
We have developed the design & innovation workshop which is an extremely effective tool for quickly creating as many innovations as possible in your area of interest – in a short one-day workshop format.

Over 15 years of experience has contributed to this technique, which has been optimized continuously. Together with our customers, we go through a process of innovation which creates the basis for developing the design.

“Carry Star” is a good example: A baby carrier we developed and designed for Amazonas, a product focusing on ergonomics and innovation.

Accordingly, we conducted the Design & Innovation Workshop at the beginning of the project. More than 100 innovative approaches were developed during the workshop, and the seven most interesting concepts were picked out and implemented.

An aesthetic and formally clear carrying system with a variety of innovative features and unique characteristics was the result:

Size-adjustment
The „Grow & Go button system“ makes it possible to adjust the carrier to the size of the child in five settings. These settings are ergonomically optimized, meaning that the “Carry Star” grows with the child.
Ergonomic sitting and carrying
The „Carry Star“ makes it easy to carry the child in an orthopedically optimal way. The round back enables a natural posture and therefore supports the ideal development of the child's spine. The spread-squat position with a deep bottom, knees up and legs apart is important for the development of the hip joints.
Shifting the weight to the hips
Individually adjustable straps as well as an innovatively designed clasp system enable the optimal displacement of the child's weight to the hips of the carrier. This helps to prevent back aches and strain even after carrying the baby for longer periods.
Additional features
An integrated waterproof cover protects the baby from rain and wind. The hood is size adjustable. Bib and shoulder strap protectors are detachable and washable. A convenient storage bag makes it easy to transport the carrier as a space-saving package when it is not in use.
